Society Branding – Information & Instructions
This page helps you design and build a brand for your society that reflects your principles, protects your sovereignty, and attracts the right people.
What To Think Of When Branding
The core of your branding is not just colors or a logo. It is the emotional standards and beliefs your society stands on.
Ask yourself:
-
What do we believe in?
-
How do we treat people?
-
What emotions do we want people to feel when they see our name or symbol?
(Safety, courage, freedom, justice, compassion, strength, etc.)
Your branding should express these standards in every detail.
Symbols, Flags, and Logos
In maritime and commercial law, entities are often treated as vessels. If you do not have your own symbol or flag, the system will try to place its symbol on you.
To avoid this:
-
Create your own symbol or logo for your society.
-
This acts like your flag – a visual sign that you belong to your own jurisdiction, not someone else’s.
-
When you have your own symbol, you align yourself with your own standard, not the default corporate/government flag.
Make sure your symbol:
-
Reflects your values and mission
-
Is simple enough to recognize and remember
-
Is original in design to avoid legal conflicts
Choosing Your Colors
Colors carry emotion and meaning. When choosing colors:
-
Look at other brands you respect.
-
Ask: What works for them? What doesn’t? How do their colors make you feel?
-
Decide which style and color combinations you like best.
Then:
-
Pick colors that match your society’s energy (e.g., calm, bold, royal, earthy).
-
Ensure your design is original to avoid legal problems or confusion with other organizations.
How To Create a Brand in the Digital Age
The internet makes it much easier to grow your society’s brand.
Once you have your core elements:
-
Principles
-
Symbol / Logo
-
Oath
-
Website
-
Bank account
-
Social media presence
You can start building your public identity.
Social Media Setup:
-
Create a Facebook page for your society
-
Create accounts on Twitter (X), LinkedIn, and any other platforms that fit your audience
-
Consider having more than one Facebook account/page, as accounts can sometimes be blocked or deleted
-
Add friends, invite members, and share your message consistently
Once your basic brand is in place, promote it everywhere:
-
Offer memberships
-
Share your programs, events, and stories
-
As more gifts come in, reinvest to expand your brand
You don’t need a huge budget to start:
-
You only need enough money to create one sample of a product (e.g., one shirt, one card, one item).
-
When orders come in, you can order more.
-
Remember: all money is defined as a gift between independents.
As your money and energy grow, your brand can impact the world on a larger scale, helping in any lawful way you choose.
